auction, live music, poster sales and the theme table (this year's theme is Mother-in-Law). Keep in touch over our website and through
our newsletter for a list of participating folk artists and news of the festival.
The Nova Scotia Folk Art Festival is managed by volunteers from the Lunenburg
Heritage Society with support from members of the NS Folk Art Society.
This juried event has a fine and well-earned reputation as a premier festival showcasing and selling
the work of our best Nova Scotia folk artists.
The atmosphere at the Festival is electric! Colourful art is everywhere, accented by the bright
sounds of fiddle music, the auctioneers banter, door prize draws and the enthusiasm of browsers
and buyers.
What is Folk Art?
Inspired by the colour and life around us, these sculptured creations, brightly
painted carvings, paintings and hooked rugs conspire to engage the heart as well as the eye.
Festival Posters are for sale. The art work commissioned for this years poster will be auctioned at the Festival.
